BGC PARTNERS WILL DONATE US$100,000 TO NEW ZEALAND EARTHQUAKE APPEAL
Hong Kong, (March 22, 2011) – BGC Partners, Inc. (NASDAQ: BGCP), a leading global intermediary to the wholesale financial markets, announced today that the Company will donate US$100,000 to the New Zealand Government’s Christchurch Earthquake Appeal.
The donation will be presented on Thursday evening at a BGC event which is being held in conjunction with the final of the Hong Kong Football Club Ten’s tournament. BGC is the title sponsor of the Asia Pacific Barbarians rugby team that is competing in the HKFC Ten’s in the run up to the Hong Kong 7’s tournament. Sean Fitzpatrick, President of the Asia Pacific Barbarians, will present a cheque on behalf of BGC to Adele Bryant, New Zealand Consul-General.

BGC’s donation will assist The Christchurch Earthquake Appeal in its inspirational efforts to create a brighter future for all those involved in this tragedy.”
