New FIX Adaptor Allows Access to International Treasury and FX markets
New York and Paris, 6 July 2009 –ULLINK, a global supplier of end-to-end connectivity and trading solutions, today announced that it has developed a FIX gateway for access to BGC Partners’ eSpeed electronic market for fixed income and foreign exchange.
Through ULLINK’s adaptors, brokers can now easily access BGC Partners’ US Treasury cash markets, as well as access US Treasury futures contracts on ELX Futures, L.P. (ELX Futures), once the exchange launches on July 10, 2009. BGC Partners, Inc. is the technology provider for ELX Futures.
The ULLINK solution supports a number of FIX protocols for customers, ranging from 4.0 to 5.0 as well as customer specific protocols (SWIFT, JMS and more). This level of customization allows authorized ULLINK and BGC Partners customers to connect to BGC Partners independently of the messaging standard.
Robert Brown, Global Head of eBusiness Integration, BGC Partners, Inc. commented: “We are very pleased that Ullink has joined our preferred vendor program, giving authorized customers of BGC and ULLINK direct access to our growing electronic markets. We have identified an increasing demand for access to our products from different types of market participants, so the timing is right to give the FIX community even greater access to our eSpeed platform for US Treasuries and other fixed income and foreign exchange products.”
“This relationship has expanded our wide range of market offerings across North America. Through BGC connectivity, we provide access across US Treasury markets, allowing our customers to leverage their platform to a whole new range of business opportunities.” said Laurent Useldinger, CEO of ULLINK. “Our UL BRIDGE platform offers customers a unique, multi-asset connectivity and trading environment, with ultra low latency connections to Futures and Options, as well as Equities and FX.”
