BGC Partners has created a new role for Howard Wright as director of emerging markets in London. The role brings together the previously separate cash and credit default swap emerging markets streams, and will help the inter-dealer focus more on this area, says Wright who previously managed bank capital at BGC.
Wright will focus on liquid emerging markets such as Russia, Turkey and Brazil, as well as local markets within countries such as Poland, the Czech Republic and Romania. He reports to Robin Clark, executive managing director and vice-president of BGC, and to BGC president Shaun Lynn.
