Based in London, Mr. Windeatt holds a key position in shaping the company’s global strategy and enhancing its overall business performance.

Mr. Windeatt began his career at United Assurance in 1996, which was followed by a move to Cantor Fitzgerald in 1997. In September 2001 he was instrumental in helping to rebuild the company following the devastating events of 9/11.

In 2004, Cantor Fitzgerald separated its voice brokerage business to create BGC Partners, L.P. In 2009, Mr. Windeatt was appointed Global Chief Operating Officer of BGC Group, and in 2012 he was named Chief Executive Officer of BGC Brokers, L.P.

He is a key member of the executive management committee, helping to grow the business organically and through acquisitions, including the notable acquisition of GFI Group, Inc.
