September 22, 2014 – NYC — The Wholesale Markets Brokers’ Association, Americas WMBAA, announced today that Timothy Massad, Chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, will deliver the keynote address at SEFCON V, the Association’s fifth annual conference taking place on Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City.
Chris Ferreri, Chairman of the WMBAA and of SEFCON V and Managing Director and Head of e-Commerce Americas at ICAP, said: “The WMBAA is delighted to have Chairman Timothy Massad as the keynote speaker for SEFCON V. Hon. Timothy Massad was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on June 3, 2014, to serve as the Chairman of the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Mr. Massad joined the agency after serving as the Assistant Secretary for Financial Stability at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Prior to joining Treasury, he served as a legal advisor to the Congressional Oversight Panel for the Troubled Asset Relief Program, under the leadership of now Sen. Elizabeth Warren. He was also a partner in the law firm Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York.
